Gugulethu-Sofia Mbatha or Gugu Mbatha Raw is an actor British actress who gained recognition for her performance in 'Doctor who.' This British television science fiction series shown by the BBC. Her father was Jewish as was her mother, and she raised within Reform Judaism. Handler was raised in a wonderful neighborhood with a happy upbringing. At the age of 19, Handler made the move to Los Angeles to pursue her acting profession. Handler worked as an actor in order to support her family. Her ability to tell stories was uncovered when she reached 21. Handler then decided to devote her full-time career to stand up comedy. Handler's stand-up career began when she was part of the all-female Oxygen television cast on the hidden camera/practical humor reality show Girls Behaving Uncooperatively. From 2002 to 2005, the series aired. Handler began appearing on other shows like Weekends at D.L., The Bernie Mac Show, The Practice and My Wife and Kids.
